A tailored training programme to boost your advocacy work
Are you a climate advocate seeking to scale up the impact of your activities? Do you wish to receive tailored training to upskill your advocacy, organisational, and legal efforts on climate issues? WHAT IS THE GOOD LOBBY CLIMATE INCUBATOR?
Following the success of last year’s pilot Incubator, The Good Lobby is happy to announce the 2nd edition of The Good Lobby Climate Incubator, supported by the European Climate Foundation (ECF). This is an innovative programme offering tailored advocacy trainings and personalised mentoring from January 2023 to June 2023. Our goal? To boost the organisational and advocacy capacities of social movements and grassroots organisations within the climate community across the EU and to help you scale your projects, increase your impact, and make your voices heard!

WHAT ARE THE DETAILS?
Through recruitment, we will select 8-12 organisations working on climate issues to take part in this unique 6-month training programme.
The Incubator is scheduled to start January 2023 and run until June 2023. It will offer 12 tailored advocacy trainings in the form of online workshops that will combine methodology and theory with hands-on, interactive exercises. You will also benefit from personalised strategic advice from an expert mentor to complement the trainings and guide you through your incubator journey.
The programme is entirely funded by ECF: there will be no cost for participants, only your time and enthusiasm!
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- You are a climate advocate: at grassroot level, an NGO, an umbrella organisation, a student group, (or others!). Most important? You advocate for environmental or climate-related issues and you’re interested in increasing your impact. You don’t have to be formally registered as a legal entity to apply! New or informal but motivated groups are welcome.
- You operate in at least one (if not more) EU member states and are seeking to expand your work.
- You can commit to attending all 12 trainings over the course of the programme (held online).
- You can dedicate 2-4 hours per week to the trainings, homework, and overall learning.
- We welcome applicants from all backgrounds: priority will be given to organisations from Central, Eastern and South of Europe with attention paid to ensuring diversity and underrepresented groups. Special attention also will be paid to groups active on topics related to the invasion of Ukraine (e.g. dependence on fossil fuels, energy crisis).
