Historically, lobbying has been hijacked by special interests who have used it to monopolise access to political power. It has thus quickly become  a practice of the few, not the many. Time has however come to change this. Lobbying, which entails to meet and influence policy-makers, is not only a legitimate practice but also needed in any democracy. 

Over the years, The Good Lobby  has been demystifying, beautifying , and ultimately democratising  lobbying as a legitimate activity. It is essential in any democracy because it allows different interests in society to have a voice and inform decision-makers why they might care about a particular issue.

Professor Alberto Alemanno, founder of The Good Lobby, discussed the concept of citizen lobbying and presented his latest ethnographic research reconstructing the emergence of the Lobbying for Good Movement during one of the “Talk Europe!” series interviews from the ERSTE Foundation.
