What is The Good Lobby Climate Incubator?

 

The Good Lobby is happy to announce the opening of the application process of The Good Lobby Climate Incubator supported by the European Climate Foundation (ECF), an innovative programme offering tailored advocacy trainings and personalised mentoring from September 2021 to April 2022. Our goal? To boost the organisational and advocacy capacities of social movements and organisations within the climate community and to help you scale your projects, increase your impact, and make your voices heard!

This open call will select 8-10 organisations working on social and climate issues to take part in a unique 6-month training programme aimed at fostering the organisational and advocacy capacities of grassroots environmental advocates across the EU

The Incubator is scheduled to start September 2021 and run until April 2022. It will offer 12 tailored advocacy trainings in the form of online workshops that will combine cutting-edge methodology and theory with hands-on, interactive exercises to take your advocacy work to the next level. Participants will also benefit from personalised strategic advice from an expert mentor to complement the trainings and guide you through your incubator journey.

Why should you apply?

 

  • You will be at the forefront of a long-term, ambitious project that aims to strengthen the advocacy and organisational capacities of environmental advocates across Europe with a more direct and positive impact in society.

 

  • You will receive input from experienced public affairs professionals as well as fellow environmental advocates, external NGOs and community-minded organisations, who can impart valuable skills, and even provide you with opportunities for partnerships.

 

 

Eligibility Requirements

 

  • You are an environmental advocate: at grassroot level, an NGO, an umbrella organisation, a student group, (or others!) Most important? You advocate for environmental and climate-related issues and you’re interested in increasing your impact (You don’t have to be formally registered as a legal entity to apply! New or informal but motivated groups are welcome)
  • You operate in at least one (if not more) EU member states and are seeking to expand your work
  • You can commit to attending all 12 trainings over the course of the programme (held online)
  • You can dedicate 2-4 hours a week to the trainings, homework, and overall learning 
  • Priority will be given to Organisations from Central, Eastern and South of Europe, but applicants from other regions are welcome to apply
